Remotes and switches are some of the most frequently touched surfaces in a home. Everyone’s hands go there: before meals, after coming from outside, after touching phones, after sneezing. But they’re rarely on anyone’s cleaning list.
A quick wipe with a slightly damp cloth and mild cleaner or sanitiser every few days removes grime and germs you can’t see. Your fingers feel less sticky when using them, and glossy or white surfaces look fresher.
You don’t need to obsess over it, just add them into your routine when you’re dusting or wiping tables. It’s a small, quiet hygiene upgrade that reduces those invisible “shared touch” risks.
